Walkie Doggie
I’m a big pet lover, i even go downstairs every evening to play with the neighbour’s six month old hazel eyed pup. But this little ‘walkie doggie’ living above our apartment keeps us awake every night.
It begins like this, I feel a hand reaching out, then a nudge, then a shake, ‘wake up! The dog is walking and I can not sleep.’ Monsieur is all grouchy by now, I reluctantly open an eye and then two. It’s only then i hear the click-clack of her uncut nails. What could she be doing? Scurrying from room to room, or maybe just trying to say ‘wake up you lazy fella, i need to go to the bathroom! Do you hear me?’ Or maybe she just suffers from insomnia… well one thing is for certain, if she is, boy is it contagious!
And then we lie awake, hoping that if we look at the roof long enough this little doggie will stop scampering up and down. No offence little doggie, we love you, you’re our favourite topic of discussion, but STOP WALKING ALL NIGHT!
