The darling hills of May
One hill at a time,
Let’s go along,
and find the hills of may!
She stands tall,
with a sea of flowers,
dotted with thread,
Girls in a chatter,
Boys flying kites!
Hillocks galore
Her long hair flows!
Second is annoyed,
She’s turned her back.
She’s a forest,
Filled with clouds,
where white sheep stand.
One lone cloud,
hides the moon.
Is it dark yet she wonders?
Defiant, poking out in the day!
Third is the one,
with flowers and more,
where birds chirp,
and bees buzz,
reds and pinks,
look at her wink!
there they are,
the darling hills of may!
