Himalayan Love
You never know when your friends and acquaintances are going to turn into clients. It’s great fun working with them. This bag was designed for my husband’s childhood friend. All of us often collect souvenirs from places we visit. Designing a souvenir took a lot of thought though, my friends sis-in-law had traveled extensively, her favourite destination being the Himalayas. So what would be better than a bit of native art on the bag?
Dhyani Buddha Detail
I was so unwell at this time i left it to my tailor to make most of the decisions. I loved the handles he chose. It gave it such a rustic feel, just like it would have if i picked it up as a souvenir from Ladakh!
The rust hand woven fabric looked stunning. i never would ahve picked a color like that myself. It just goes to show one thing… i need to be a little more adventurous with picking out my background colors!
